Merry Christmas 2011!

This has been a really busy year for me. I started back in college at Metro State University late last Spring for my Bachelor's degree in Finance. This is my 3rd trip to college; 1st in the 80's for nursing, 2nd in the 90's for psychology degree and at 51 years of age, yes...college is as hard as it used to be :)

 I haven't been able to do a lot of makeup in Denver this year because of school and working part time. But, still get calls to do airbrush makeup for photo shoots, weddings or temporary tattoos for different occasions. On the side, I've still been taking updated makeup classes through Elite Pro because, like everything, if you don't keep up on it, you  lose it. Music has kept me busy this year, too, with a trip to Burbank, CA in August for my marketing internship for Atlantic/Elektra Records. I received thumbs up on that and an offer, so for now, I'm a remote marketing rep for Atlantic/Elektra, but that might change in 2012.

At this date, December 1st, I have finished ALL of my Christmas shopping for family and friends. I skipped the lines and traffic and bought online. Cyber Monday is my best friend! A lot of people have asked me where to go shopping online, where is the different clothing, makeup, food, shoes and so here are MY favorites to shop online:

CLOTHING:

• Victoria Secrets    www.victoriasecrets.com   they have great deals on all their items including perfume, lotions, shampoo, makeup. Their clothing lasts a long time and it is the only place I go for my "underclothing".
• Frederick's of Hollywood   http://www.fredericks.com  I LOVE their clothing and their accessories such as jewelry. I've gotten some body jewelry from them before and every thing fits and is great quality. I haven't shopped their lingerie, but I'm sure it is all good!
• Forever21    http://www.forever21.com  they have thee best jeans and T-shirts for low cost and great quality. It's not just a shopping site for young girls. It's for women and men, too.
• Newport News   http://www.newport-news.com/  I have been shopping online with them for years. Their sizes always fit and although they have more "corporate working" style clothing, they are very tailored and I like that.
• Boston Proper   http://www.bostonproper.com/   LOVE the styles. If I can't find something on VS or Fredericks, I know I'll find it on Boston Proper. Gorgeous clothes.
• Pyramid Collection   http://www.pyramidcollection.com  I used to buy from this unique clothing company when I still owned my Rock Wear clothing store. They have really interesting clothing and if you shop their "outlet", you'll find great things for great prices!
• Leather Up http://www.leatherup.com/  If you ride a motorcycle, this is a great place to buy from. When leathers are too expensive at Harley Davidson's, this is a great leather place for men and women. My leather chaps are SO comfortable and have had them for about 4 years now. Still in great shape. Women, check out the hot little leather halter vests, too.

Food:

• Cabela's  http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/home-cabin-food-entrees/  It is generally a hunting, fishing, sports site but their prime rib is to die for! Every Christmas, I order a prime rib and ham from Cabela's.
• Wine Country Baskets http://www.winecountrygiftbaskets.com   This site is great for getting gifts for family or friends. ALL kinds of them, large and small.
• Mrs. Fields http://www.mrsfields.com  is thee best sites for goodies. Not just cookies, but all kinds of bakery items and all of it is delicious.

Makeup:

• M.A.C.   http://www.maccosmetics.com My favorite!
• NYX cosmetics   http://www.nyxcosmetics.com
• Mehron http://www.mehron.com/   This site is a makeup artist's dream site. I get my cosmetic supplies from them.
• Makeup Geek Store http://www.makeupgeek.com/store/ She sells great cosmetics for less and it lasts a long time. Plus, videos on how-to.

Update on makeup, temp tattoos, body art and sunless tanning price list

Because prices have gone up on materials that I use for airbrushing makeup, temporary tattoos, body art and sunless tanning, I've had to update my price list as well.

My makeup rates are as follows:


10-15min     $30.00


20-30min     $40.00


30-60min     $60.00-80.00 *depending on occasion and look*





That includes all makeup for the face. If a characterization is preferred, please send picture to me of desired look before appointment.

• Must supply your own costume, wig, bald cap..etc.
• Makeup includes eyelashes of any desire plus desired look.

Temporary Tattoos

Small (3" X 5" and smaller)    $20.00
Medium (3" X 5" up to half sleeve or any back tattoos)
                                            $ 35.00
Large (whole back from shoulder to shoulder, full sleeve or multiple tattoos)                    $60.00

Please send picture/s of tattoo to me atleast 5 days prior to appointment with measurement info of what size. I use real tattoo ink and the tattoo stays on up to 14 days.

Concealing Tattoos

1 half sleeve         $20.00

1 full sleeve          $40.00

I use theatrical makeup to conceal tattoos. Covers well and last all day for all skin types/shades.

Body Art

For body art, I'll need to book appointments for up to 60 min and will do face, waist up and arms. No full body.

Depending on the details of the body art desired price can be set up to $60.00 or more.


Sunless Tanning (includes your choice of tanning solutions and bronzers)

Sunless Tanning
$40.00 for one application done with HVLP compressor and tanning tent for privacy

One application of Sunless tanning lasts up to 3-4 days

I have 3 types of tanning solution that I spray with in an HVLP compressor and pop up tanning tent for privacy.

Tanning solutions:  1)OCEAN  With or without dark Bronzers

                                2) Focus Organic 12.5% Dark Tanning Solution  which is dark and has anti-aging, skin firming ingredients in it

                                3) Liquid Sun Medium Tanning Glow with anti-aging, skin firming ingredients in it.


*After spraying, tan color shows up 3-4 hours later*

We made it!!! 2010 had alot of great successes for Artistic Bookings Makeup!

Halloween was our first real accomplishments in doing makeup for local Denver, CO clients. The Zombie Crawl was excellent and alot of fun.

Next came Halloween makeup non-zombie-ish and alot was accomplished there, as well.

For the Holidays, I was thrilled to do tattoo concealment and airbrushing for an actress on the film set of "Christmas Eve 45" . An independant movie. Their facebook link:

New Rockin' Cowboy Hats for the Holidays 2010

 This is what I love!! Using my airbrush makeup skills, temp tattoo stencils made especially designed for the client's desired look and body art.

I love character transformations and helping others look just like their favorite artist, actor, or just tattoo-ed.

FX and latex Makeup services

I will be doing FX and latex makeup for Halloween and the Zombie Crawl in Denver, CO October 23rd.

The process takes a bit longer than regular makeup application including decaying teeth effect and open wounds.
